Autumn Festival 2025

Throughout Term 1, the students of the Steiner stream learn and practice many songs about Autumn time and each class takes on a part for a whole stream play about Saint Michael and the Dragon. Towards the end of Term 1, the classes come together and perform the play which contains most of our Autumnal songs.

The time of Autumn, in the Steiner philosophy, is a time of overcoming fears and is represented by Saint Michael and the villagers overcoming the dragon and banding together as a community. As part of our festival, in line with traditional Harvest festivals, the school community donates food items that are distributed to the needy by a local church group that does work with the school. At the end of the festival families join together on the oval for a shared afternoon tea picnic.
